“To Swallow a Toad” world premiere in Cannes competition

At the end of April Cannes short film selection committee announced their decision. A great honor is that our latest short “To swallow a Toad” by Jurgis Krasons is among selected nine shorts.

“To swallow a Toad” will have it’s world premiere in Official screening at Salle Debussy hall on 22nd May 11am. Besides it will be also screened at 18th May (Press screening) and 22nd May 2.30pm at  Buñuel or Bazin Theater (tbc).

The film is played around poles of madness, depression, frustration – the invisible facets of Latvian or even European life. With humorous style Jurgis Krasons has created a visually engaging and highly daring look at the ways individuals evolve and adapt.

They lived in peace until one day a “square” discovered that the “rounds” swallow toads…

Everyone is welcomed to “To swallow a Toad” screenings! More information will be available in our Rija Films stand at Palais no 24.03. from 12th May!
